Athlete Confidence & Growth Program

A self-guided book-based learning path

This is not therapy, professional coaching or a sport-psychology qualification. It is a self-guided six-session experiment delivered through The Sport You Need.

Expected direction

Choose one behavior pressure makes smaller, select a sporting environment that repeats it, and collect evidence across six sessions.

Who it is for

  • Athletes who tighten when watched or when the stakes rise
  • Adults returning to sport or starting again at the bottom
  • People choosing a sport for growth, not only comfort
  • Anyone willing to test one precise behavior in a real sporting environment

What you will learn

  • Name the scene where your behavior shrinks
  • Choose a safe, repeatable training ground
  • Act while watched, compared or uncertain
  • Learn from loss without turning it into identity
  • Decide whether to continue, adjust or change environments

Syllabus

Six modules in a useful sequence

01

Find the scene

Replace “be more confident” with one observable moment and behavior.

02

Choose the training ground

Select a sport and room that repeat the scene safely, often and clearly.

03

Sessions 1–2: establish the pattern

Observe what happens before, during and after pressure without trying to fix everything.

04

Sessions 3–4: act smaller or act anyway

Practise one visible behavior while comparison, stakes or uncertainty are present.

05

Sessions 5–6: repeat and test

Look for behavioral evidence, not a perfect feeling or performance.

06

Review the experiment

Use the field sheets to continue, adjust the constraint or choose a different room.

How the program works

A step-by-step path

  1. Choose one pattern—not “confidence” in general.
  2. Use the field sheet before session one to define observable evidence.
  3. Complete six sessions in the same environment when practical.
  4. Record the scene and action soon after each session.
  5. Review the six sheets and make one next decision.

Tools included in the book

Practical tools

  • One six-session experiment
  • Twelve field sheets
  • Scene, constraint and evidence prompts
  • Continue / adjust / change decision at the end

Expected outcome

What this work can produce

A concrete record of how you act under pressure and a next experiment grounded in behavior. The program does not diagnose or treat anxiety, trauma or any mental-health condition.

Book vs video course

You own the learning material

You buy the book once and work through it without a login, deadline or renewal. There are no videos, private community, individual coaching sessions or certificate.

FAQ

Common questions

Is this sports psychology or therapy?

No. It is a general training method in a book. Seek a qualified professional when you need individualized mental-health or performance support.

Do I need to be an elite athlete?

No. The method is designed for different sports and levels, including adults returning to sport.

Will six sessions make me confident?

No result is guaranteed. Six sessions create a bounded experiment with enough repetition to observe behavior and choose a next step.

Does the program include worksheets?

Yes. The book includes twelve field sheets and the six-session experiment.
